You aren't fucked up Yannic. You're going through a very rough time it sounds like, but you're being far to hard on yourself. You sound like there is a lot on your mind, almost a mid-life crisis sounding thing, but you're blaming yourself it sounds. Everything will work out, you're doing great on trying to work it out, but don't beat yourself up over it.

So after trying to just create a bit of distance from him and not talk to him, I only lasted one day. It seemed pointless when it was so forced. Because I couldn't explain what was bothering me, I emailed him everything I wrote. Instead of being freaked out by the sheer amount of times I mention leaving him, he told me that he loved me and was here for me.

I win, seriously. He's beyond great.

Ok, so I officially win the title of weirdest relationship ever.

Friday night he dumps me. I take him home anyways.

Then between then and Sunday, we went from being broken up, to still being very close friends, to being friends with benefits, to being friends with benefits until we can be reunited and resume going out to now, where I'm pretty sure nothing has changed, except now we're allowed to kiss other people if we are in a situation where kissing will lead to nothing else and there's no feelings involved.

Except he already told me that he doesn't care if I kiss other people, because he knows I love him.

So. I'm really not sure what happened.

Sounds to me like he wants an open relationship, Yannic. He wants you to stand by him, but be able to get sweet lovin' from elsewheres, and not JUST you.

Maybe its just me......but its sounding familiar to me, personally.

But the thing is...I'LL be the one getting the sweet loving. He's not in any situations where there are available females. I go to college with several hundred other young peeps that are young and horny.

I have no relationship issues. Actually the closest I come to a relationship is reading your posts about your relationship. In other words the only real relationship problem is, me trying to figure out if the girl I like, returns my feelings. Girls are so hard to read *sigh*

Assistance SVP!

I think my friend's newly-ex boyfriend is hitting on me.
I mentioned that I'm having a stressful week and need to get wasted come the weekend and he was like "yeah let's do something this weekend. like, wasted + an activity". I wasn't sure exactly what that meant so i said ok and asked if he had any ideas activity-wise and he was like "no, not really. but oh, it's gotta be on saturday. let's get high and go to an art gallery. i'll call you tomorrow with details. bye!" so much for not really having any ideas :wtf:

i'm confused and a little worried because i've been attracted to him as long as i've known him, and he just broke up with my friend (who is admittedly very similar to me) and we live like 5 minutes away from each other while my friend lives six hours away. i think this whole situation deserves a big uh-oh.

I concur....maybe this calls for a big backing-the-fuck off for a couple months, until the break-up isn't fresh.

For instance, with the plan for Saturday, you have a close friend that's male, yes? When buddy (^) calls back, be like, 'yeah dude, that sounds great. _____ is going to come too, cool?'

Hanging out and doing stuff is cool, but don't let things move along quite so quickly. It'll end up messy because the guy will still be dealing with the break-up, and you don't want that to carry over to you, and you don't want to be horrible to your friend either.

I don't think anything is going to happen tomorrow, I doubt it was even meant that way, but we hang out a lot and I'm frequently at his house until like 4 am just chilling or whatever. Mind you this was before the breakup so now I guess my concern is like omgwtf "what if"? I wouldn't be able to say no, I don't think.

Also the whole breakup is very messed up. They were really good friends, started dating, and now last time she was up he was like "yeah can we just go back to being friends?" she seems to think that they're going to keep hooking up and everything just not really be exclusive i guess. it's all extremely strange and honestly, i never professed to understand their relationship in the first place. i think the only time i've ever even seen them touch was when she gave him a super.
