I know that Shangri La is a paradise, but I have no idea what this lyric means... And that's the way I like it.

Paradise reversed = hell.
Wet nurse = someone breast feeding other than the mother.

In essence it's the idea that someone has to come in and fix the broken paradise, other than the one who made it.

While it's nice to see his lyrics aren't so obvious anymore, they still seem to be very very simple, structure-wise.

Nah I'm not a pessimist, I just don't drink the kool-aid. ;)

I see both what's good and bad from them.

Hmm... I just don't know what to think of that song. A part of me thinks that songs with a similar structure have been done way too many times before, but it's definitely a very catchy melody. It's a very Burn Burn and Gravity-style song. I'm happy that they have an outside producer there with them though, and I liked the constructive criticism that he gave in that clip.

It is definitely mainstream-ish, but I can deal with that so long as the other songs are similarly awesome as that of The Wolf.

It's the song of the second stream! I think it's a song that will evolve in time....it's different from the demo of the stream...

Yes, it is much slower in the new clip than it was in the live stream. Reminds me of when they slowed down AYDWSML for the studio version. It kinda took away the raw energy from the song, I hope they don't do that with this song.

I agree with you! It's catchy! The first version was less catch than this new, but it isn't like the other song that we have heard in the other clips.....i wish that the "RIP Modern Rock" it's for all the songs on the album and not only for the non-single song...

Hey Trusty

Love the Jim Morrison look. :)

oh and that song reminds me of another song. Just can not put my finger on it.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Are you talking about that clip Flynn posted? Trusty isn't in that clip, it's Jason Lader

One of my friends on FB saw him in another video and thought it was Raine!
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Not a bad song. Could be pretty good as long as it stays with a raw sound, rather than something overproduced like All You Did. Could see it being a Top 40 radio station song.
