Was it my imagination or did I hear a whole lotta falsetto?
Enter butterflies.

“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

and with that I believe I also hear the sound of the people who said Raine could no longer sing in falsetto eating their words right about now!

It's just a fact though. Singing night after night, no matter in what style, your voice is going to get tired. So hopefully he's taking proper precautions between shows to keep it going strong for the rest of the tour.
He wasn't taking very good care of himself in the fall... there were nights when it sounded like it was killing him to sing and this is more taxing. I think he knows enough to take better care of himself. He shouldn't be allowed to talk at all.... smile and shake hands. Sorry VIP's lol.

There's things singers can do to protect their voice though... Maybe some things he hadn't been doing prior to this.

I was speaking of last year.
I don't think he'll use falsetto everywhere that it was used on the albums every night -- that has nothing to do optimism. I would rather see him take care of his voice and sound great the whole time.

I'm very optimistic about this tour, by the way. Otherwise I wouldn't have tickets to shows that are 1,275 miles away.
