i just think people should vote honestly, it's not like i'm not an olp fan. I'm probably the biggest one in my city, but that doesn't mean i'm going to give them credit they if i think they don't deserve it. These awards wouldn't be a such a joke if people were honest. Live was pretty good, but you can't put it in the same category as other albums. All i'm saying is people voted for an album that they didn't believe to be best, It has been proven already by the "Best album of 2003" thread. I'm sure OLP would appreciate some honesty, hell we know how rain feels about the publicity he gets. Next year i'm hoping they'll put out a kick ass new album THEN we can all go and vote olp, not for an live album people.

There's the key... that YOU don't think they deserve. I mean who knows, maybe these people that voted honestly believe that. It's more likely that they just went through the list and picked their favourite bands. But hey you never know.

what i was implying stace is that if i don't think they deserve it i won't vote for it, unlike some people that didn't think they deserved it but still voted anyways. I'm not trying to trash the bands guys, they're still tied as my favorite band. I just think OLP deserves our honest opinion every now and then. You guys are getting way to defensive over this whole issue. I brought up the topic after noticing that several CMer's were voting live even though it wasn't their favorite album. I'm sorry if honesty is to much to ask these days. I'll just go back to my corner and stay silent...

Some of us voted for it cos we *did* think it was the best album on the list.

Wow, what a waste of CM bandwidth this thread was. :uh:

Don't worry about this poll. This is the music-business equivalent of any high-school vote: it's a popularity contest. It has nothing to do with what the question actually is, just who's in the question.

I just think you made way too big of a deal out of this. I mean, it's just a Chart user poll. It's not like they're winning awards for it.

I was so very correct. You all denied it. Suckers.

Anyways, I voted for Live for Best Canadian Album. I should have voted for Avalanche.. but well, I didn't. I somewhat regret that but I'm still happy for OLP. I didn't vote for Innocent for Best Song though, because it didn't deserve it. *shrugs*

I thought it might be, but I was hoping he wasn't silly enough to get so upset over it. :freak: Since when do online music polls count for anything other than fans proving which band has the geekiest fanbase?
