ones integrity would come into question through "playing the game". the philosophy of an individualist stresses, what else? individualism and therefore maybe someone would not need to spread their ideals. maybe they also value their integrity as much as their freedom.

In politics one man can only do one thing...speak his mind. it's when he speaks his mind and other hear him and follow his ideas and think his ideas are for the greater good that they start a movement. this movement should work ONLY toward making these ideas into a reality, and nothing else. when the movement gets involved in other aspects of politics that's when the integrity of the movement is breeched. when they try and deal under the table or when they allow another person to soften their cause or offer them a "lump sum" agreement, they undermind the movement. that's why you should listen to everyone and see what they can offer to you.

you see thats my point...the essence of individualism for me would be to not have to preach your ideas to others...you are perfectly content with having liberated yourself. also collectivising is the opposite of individualism...that would defeat the entire purpose. its kind of like in "revolution 1" the line that goes

"you tell me its the institution
well you know
you better free your mind instead"

you can never do your own thing, because people will want to follow your example because your well off. since you have followers might as well take care of them and teach them to do what you do, but to leave you alone.

I think the PC's are screwed now that Clark is out. It seems like a whole new wave of leaders are immerging, and they're pretty well unknown other than the liberal candidates

well in manitoba political news, NDP just kickd the living hell out of the PC's in our election, the Liberals also managed to steal another seat from the conservitives too, mostly because the last manitoba conseritive government fucked us over so bad, not to mention this time the conservitives had a largely unknown leader, who made absurd promises. Gary Doer leader of the NDP in a debate said "Tell everyone here and at home that Manitoba will NOT be sold to make your proposed tax cut" the PC was silent. As for people that don't know Manitoba's biggest growing economic reasource is Hydro power, Manitoba has more fresh water then any state of province in North America, it's run completely on Hydro Power and sell a huge excess to New York, California and other states. With the current fossil fuel problems we can expect to make even more off our hydro. As is we pay the lowest heating and electrical bills in North America, but the PC's would like to sell our crown corporation to free up quick cash for tax cuts. Kinda like when they sold off, MTS (manitoba telephone systems) the first canadian telephone system, and also the most profitable one in all of canada.
