I'm agnostic. I love hearing about all kinds of religions, I'm facinated by it. I just don't lead my life by it.

And Wham rocked!

Wow it is sooooo good to be on a board with alot of open-minded people:)So good:):):)I've been to alot of boards that claim to be welcoming to others of different religions, well I felt well they won't say anything in this little thread where I told what I am a Wiccan and Christian, and oh they insulted me and threatened all kindsa stuff(mostly the southern baptist people) telling me Wicca is satanic, that all Wiccans/Pagans/etc. are going to hell. When my mom found out I practice Wicca,oh I went through alot of crap. Now that I'm out on my own,I can practice it freely.I won't bore you guys with the details but it really is great to be on a board with open-minded people who won't bash you for believing in something different:)

Wicca is really interesting .. I studied that for about a year and I'd love to explore it more .. when I told my mom about it she was fine .. she's cool like that

I was born and raised Catholic. Until I was around 12 or 13, my mom dumped all this catechism books on me claiming that if someone weren't baptized, they wouldn't be able to go to heaven, sins should be avoided, etc.

Well, I'm 16 now and I've grown up a lot since then. I'm still Catholic and I have nothing against it. However, I don't take the Bible literally (except the New Testament...that stuff is believable), I believe anyone can be "saved" if they want to be, etc. For the longest time, I hated going to church because it was so organized plus the homilies were so boring. I've come across a lot of interesting priests who go about religion in the most interesting ways (the priest at my church uses the StarWars analogy an awful lot!) so church doesn't bother me anymore. I've come to accept all the rites because religion is kinda like society...they have rules to follow even though we don't always follow them. I take and leave some stuff from Catholicism.

The thing that bugs me the most is when people judge religion on personal experiences with a few people or bigger issues such as politics. Islam is stereotypically portrayed as the religion for terrorists and Christianity is the religion for 'perfect' people who want to condemn. I don't think it's fair. You can't judge a religion just because of what you hear on the news or just because that nun happened to think she knew everything. You might as well do the same thing when hearing about or meeting someone from a certain country. Religion can be corrupt...but who corrupts it? Individuals do.

I don't consider myself anything either .. the only religion I've put any effort into looking into was Wicca .. I'm Catholic but despise the church and everything that has to do with being Catholic .. and plus I don't believe in God so that kinda shuns me from them anyway

I think that spirituality is something that every one has inside of them.

Some people can find that on their own, while others need a guide. The problem is really when people just blindly follow leaders without ever questioning their beleifs. never let people tell you what to beleive, that always leads to some pretty nasty shit.

The way you have it there it seems that you imply that scientist = atheist. Just because someone is a scientist does it does not always follow that they are an atheist. I would consider myself a scientist, but I'm a strong Christian.
