u know what??? blaming people for the reason this board is going to hell is not going to solve anything. As far as i'm concerned, everyone had an EQUAL part in destroying the "laid-back" atmosphere. Also, you know what would really help? If the mods, didn't rub our faces in the fact that they are mods and they have more powers than the rest of us. Just because you are labelled as Mod's does not make you anymore important than the rest of the people in this community. Which means that your opinion does not automatically over rule anyone elses.
I am so sick of listening to people bitch constantly because things aren't going their way and how they are going to leave because they can't take it anymore. Well how bout you just leave then? Because by saying that, it's starting a whole new fight.
I don't see how deleting people's post will help at all, just because the mod's don't like what was said. That, again, will start a whole new war. I agree, the new "rules" are way to harsh. Makes me kinda feel like i'm in some sort of jail. The fact that the names were changed really isn't that big of deal, it's just that the new names are waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy to boring. Which contributes to our whole new little "jail".
I guess what i'm trying to say is that for things to go back to normal... you don't have to take the fun out of it or "punish" us because it's only going to make it worse.

"This looks like a job for me..."
Just to be brief because I have stuff to do.......The rules are stupid. No one was gonna follow them to begin with. All you did was try and take away peoples rights and DUH!!! of course we're gonna be upset. What the hell did you think we were just gonna sit around and take being TOLD what we can and can't do??? Come on you guys aren't that stupid are you? What theses rules and other changes did was stir up a fire that was almost out. We hadn't been fighting in quite a few days. Way to go!!! Pat urselves on the backs you totally did the opposite of ur goal.

don't get all riled up about the "rules". That's just discretionary incase things get out of hand. I could care less about the rules, you guys are taking them way too seriously. I would just like some of the features that I really liked about this place back.

discretionary is bad. in a post about al being like a five year old, it was at someone's discretion to delete it....communism is at discretion because the power is held by one person and mb he shares some of it, but the rules either need set or no rules because discretion leaves to much power to them to delete what we say or whatever they want

Can we please stop jumping on each other? It's not accomplishing anything. I don't much like the changes myself, but a place where everyone is insulting and demeaning each other is ten times worse than any change Al could make to this place. Just think about that, ok? Happeninfish loves you all :)

how can a place that was so good get so incredibly boring? There are never any new topics just replies to old ones. The forums have been condensed and the atmosphere has got bland. I by accident typed in clumsymonkey.com and it said future site coming soon. hmmm we could only wish. i am really suprised that the emoticons are still there. why did this all have to happen?

Lando-ites revolt!!

Hey guys, if you're really serious about getting outta the CM; I know of a snzzy little forum with hellaciouslly lax rules (I'm a mod, so what's that tell you 8-) )

Anyways, the address is http://forums.tildanet.com

'Officially', they're the forums for my site, http://www.tildanet.com , but, since we're getting next t onothing traffic, I'd be more than happy to offer 'em up as a place to go when you're sick of th eneo-fashest that has become the 'Monkey

Enjoy...
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

:wtf:

Okay. I use to love it here but I don't know any more.

These rules actually do limit us from stating our direct and honest opinions. And if the moderators "have the final desicion on any issue" do we really have a decision at all?

I agree... I don't think the new rules are that big of a deal. Everything needs some rules. and like defying_gravity said, it's not like anyone has been kicked out. I'd blab some more, but I think I already said enough (a few pages back).
