Why is Jeremy such an assclown now (or was he always that way...)?

I have never heard any of the current members say anything negative about Jeremy. If anything, they’ve been very gracious towards him publicly. I’m sure I don’t know the whole story, and I do not claim to. He certainly does not seem to have any class or any respect for the fans who made him who he is today. It’s a shame he’s so bitter... poor guy.

I've been backstage with the guys several times, just me and them converstations...not once did any of them ever say anything bad about him. In fact, they still profess their fondness of him. I don't understand what his deal is. I don't have anything bad to say in regards to how he always treated me, but I do think there is a lack of class in his posts sometimes.

Really disappointed in his antics since he left the band. Makes me very sad because I've always enjoyed seeing him at shows and getting pictures was always a great experience.

I used to think very highly of him, and the work he did outside of OLP (anti-bullying, suicide prevention, etc.) Ever since parting ways with OLP and growing his lame “bahd” following, he seems incredibly jaded and is quite a bully in his own right on Twitter. I sincerely hope he’s happy, just wish he didn’t feel the need to bash the band after giving 20 years of his life to it. I remember in his goodbye note he said that he would always wish his OLP brothers the best (something to that effect), but that’s clearly a lie.

Some of his posts just make me cringe! Clearly he had issues with a certain member (or members, but I doubt it) of the band he was a part of, but if that tweet was a jab at Jason, most likely someone he's never even met, so not cool.

It's been 4 years, time to move on.

But he has met Jason. They toured together in 2006 when Jason drummed for Neverending White Lights. I'm not real sure what his problem is with him.

Well I guess it's a small world if you're a Canadian drummer! :) I like how Jason has brought forth a renewed sense of freshness for the band as they have acknowledged many times in recent interviews. He is such a great addition with such positive energy.

Mike went out with class, and a lot of fans still have fond memories of him. When I met him a few years ago, he was so gracious and took the time to answer every OLP question I had, as hard as that may have been for him. I just wish that Jeremy had followed that same path. To be tweeting remarks like this 4 years later shows that he can’t get over it. Interestingly enough, he hasn’t done anything musically in the past few years (that I’m aware of), so maybe his creativity had run dry. Honestly, I love the energy Jason brings to the band and I feel that this most recent tour was the best run they’ve had in 10+ years. Having heard some stories from other fans, I think OLP is in a much better place without him.

Yeah, become a bitter little man. Does a lot of chirping on Twitter. Needs a haircut and a shave he looks like a homeless man.

I noticed as early as 2009 that Jeremy would tend to look very bored on stage during concerts. There were a couple of times during 2012 that he seemed to be enjoying playing, but on the whole not so much. I'm very happy for him that he is enjoying his podcast, and spending more time with his family. I don't think he has anything new to contribute musically and that's ok. I just wish he was handling his departure with the same tact as his former bandmates have done for him.

I am extremely shocked to see this. I can name numerous times where Jeremy would be the first one out after a show to take pics and sign for the fans. Then when Steve came along it seemed like Steve was the guy who would be out first and sign but Jeremy would come out later. Duncan and Raine would on occasion but Jeremy was always a constant. To hear him acting this way is very sad to say the least. I have nothing bad to say about Jeremy or Mike as both always took the time to chat but this is just sad to read. I think deep down he still wants to be a part of OLP

Yeah, he's obviously a classless asshole. Guess he's showing his true colors now, and he's obviously forgotten how he got famous in the first place.

Clearly, he's got some mental issues on some level. Meanwhile, the rest of the band (current and former members), as well as current and former producers, continue to behave like respectful and classy adults, unlike that POS.

I'm glad Jeremy's gone. It probably would've done the band some good to lose him sooner. I'll take Mike Turner back any day, though, not as replacement for Steve, hell no. But as a rhythm guitarist in addition to Steve. Imagine the amazing and catchy sounds they could come up with as a duo...
