Yeah, that remix was frankly awful. No disrespect to the DFA1979 dude, who I know Raine respects a lot, but it just plain sucked.

It was very repetitive and uninteresting after the first minute.

Exactly. It was the same damn loop for 5 minutes. I lost interest 45 seconds into the first minute.

I think it's neat that they're doing the remix thing. I think this is the first OLP remix I've heard that really significantly strayed from the source material. This one didn't do much for me, I didn't find it too inspired or inspiring but no harm done. I'm looking forward to the chance to remix it myself though.

The one thing that I do like about the remix is that it is so different than anything they have ever done, we are living in some pretty exciting OLP times right now, and that is cool

Its not even that I dislike it because its a different genre, as I have a wide taste in music... that remix is just bad lol.

Well you guys are all going to get to have your own go at remixing it soon! ;)

I wonder who will wear the remix crown? I kinda hope its a monkey person that would be cool.

Hoping I can do something cool with it. I already kinda dabble with sampling music for hip hop beats so hopefully I can do something interesting with this.

Is it going to be only mixable inside of a phone app? Or will we have access to the actual .wav / lossy files? If it's the latter then you can expect some cool remixes out of people, if you let them use their own programs on a PC.

I'm wondering too. I think an app is neat, and makes it more accessible to more people, but I'd love playing with it in a full featured audio editing app. And I don't have a smartphone, so I hope it's not a phone app.

I like the idea and the things that come out of remixes. I kinda see them as an interpretation of the song.

Not a phone app - this is a revolutionary online remix platform, You will not have access to the song stems outside of the app - all remixing will be done inside of your web browser and the HW tracks as well as additonal loops/soundbanks will be made available to help you to create something awesome.

i gotta say my deep house version of HW is kinda awesome :)

oh there are people that love it! andpeople that listen to it and want to hear more OLP ;) So yeah, it's deff doing what it is supposed to do and reaching people that might not of ever heard of olp - and that is great - plus its just something cool and different for the guys to do and I think some credit is due for them having the balls to put it out...entering into a lot of new territory with this release and I think that is really cool and a perfect time to do it
