"The band reconvened in Toronto last week to get a jump on the next album - a release that might hit store shelves as early as next spring."

So my guess would be late summer, early fall of 2011 at the earliest... since the album's gone from late '10, to the new year, to spring '11.

My head will explode if we get Chapter 9 with a snippet video kinda like we did for Steve playing Escape Artist last year, on the same day Raine's site lauches with his new song.

So far we have two videos of the Album 8 sessions. The one we got around Christmas and the one we got yesterday.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IJeowQnoGk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmwAuW7H ... re=channel

In the Christmas greeting, the first song concept is good... A bit peppy for a hard OLP song, but it's still pretty good. I really hope they can do something with the second song. Something is kinda strange about it... I like it. And I'm guessing the last bit is the end of the song, but if not, I like the fact that they're rocking hard with it.

In the video from yesterday, I'm not too fond of the first song. The beginning of it sounds like it'd be a Maroon 5 song, and as the song progresses it sounds more and more like All You Did. The second song is great though. The first few notes give a darker vibe, but it quickly turns into something more uplifting. It also seems like Steve is using some of the new equipment he used on the Clumsy/SM tour. It has the makings to be a good song; I can definitely see it utilizing Raine's range.

In Gatineau Duncan told us they are trying to get a single out by Spring. So they have something to promote for summer touring. He also said "But you know us". Lol. Steve told me the new album would be soon but wouldn't give it to me in writing or on video for legal purposes. He said I could and should sue him. Hee hee

From the Writing Session 1 video, I agree with the comment that the second song kind of sounds like Starseed.
