Oh wow, what a disappointment this is.

Not impressed at all.

Sadly, I can't say I'm surprised.

I was hoping the ability of Mike and Jeff would make the band (can't comment on Amir as I haven't listened to Zygote), but it appears the guys just didn't have any chemistry in the studio.

I'd rather listen to gravity.

Eh.

At least Mike is playing some different guitar riffs or whatever. That's about all I can say for it.

For me, it could be a bias against IME. I get this feeling like they tried too hard.

I just find it to be pretty generic. Mike does some kind of cool guitar effects and Jeff does a few complexities on drums, but the general sound isn't there.

I'm gonna be honest. This is better than the new OLP. :(

I'm gonna go ahead and disagree.

I have to second that, Matt.

This band lacks creativity.

Comparitvly, this clip is small, and may not represent the whole song, and really the guitar bits at the end are rather enjoyable. It could be a decent song. I wouldn't have the desire to go out and find more, but it could get radio play.

This All You Did song makes me actively want to turn it off, and that's something OLP has never done to me before. That one song is so terrifically contrived and uninspiring that I really can't stand it. That doesn't mean I hate everything they are doing now, because I haven't really heard anything else on the album. But if I had to pick which song to listen to, the Crash Karma song on myspace or OLP's new single, I would pick the Crash Karma song.

Based on the sample we have on .net, AYD in no way represents the new Our Lady Peace. As I've said before, if this album leans more towards Monkey Brains and Paper Moon, Burn Burn will be great.

The Crash Karma song... I found absolutely no appeal to it's sound. Yeah, Mike did some kind of cool things at the end of the clip, but the overall sound is too bland to even get radio play. These guys just seem to lack any chemistry at all, sadly.

A new song is up; "Awake."
