Yeah! I know you! We talked about playing OLP songs too. I think I had just walked out of... Golden Age Collectibles because I was hanging out there bored waiting for more people to show up.

Remember that we won't really need to be there THAT early because it's seated. Only reason to go early will to be to possibly chat with the band as they're heading in for soundcheck.

Good point.

See, that's why I wished there was at least a general admission section. I'm not really a fan of... sitting during a concert, lol.

Yeah, GA is far better than seats. Most of the real fans actually get the good spots that way.

Bunch of us were right up front because we went six hours early. That's how you do it.

Yup! That's how I've always been at front, too. You're willing to blow your entire day for the band, you deserve to be up there. It should have nothing to do with how much money you have in your wallet.

OK ladies and gentlemen...I know the past few weeks have been crappy as far as figuring out ticket sales, seat locations, buying extras, contests, lack of info from the band/fanclub/etc...I've been frustrated too. I have a "hot-seats" worth of extra tickets (3) that I will probably be forced to eat. But, for me, the most important thing will be the live OLP experience. It has been 3 years since I have seen OLP in concert. So, come Hell or high water - (geez, maybe not a good analogy considering I have to ferry to and from the shows - hahaha) I know I am gonna forget all the CRAP and just rock out for 3 nights with OLP!! I'm sure the band is aware of all the confusion and are probably kicking themselves or the .Net Folks for allowing all this to happen....but, if we really think about OLP over the years, I am kind of thinking this will give them more fuel for the fire of having to put out even better rock shows. So, while the gripes and disappointments are justified...leave those at home when you leave to go to the shows you are attending. OLP will not completely let us down! I am hopeful this will be their best tour yet!!!!!
Peace,
Matt

Yes, that is one way of looking at it. I wish I could think about the situation more positively myself too. However, this is my fist actual OLP concert (not counting the short pre-show in September) and I guess I just got my hopes up.

Can anyone tell me what it's like having to sit near the back during a concert? Does it lessen the experience? :(

I sat at the back of the first balcony at Massey, and I also had crappy seats once at an arena show. I still had an amazing time... sound was good, I could see okay, my camera has a great zoom so I got decent pictures, etc. Don't worry that much about it... just relax and have a good time - it's your first time seeing OLP! Geez!

It's more difficult sitting farther back if you're already spoiled with lots of front row experiences.

Folks going to the Thursday show... are we all going to meet up prior to the concert to hang out and keep each other company until the show? We only have a few days to organise it.

Don't let me forget... I have to look up how to even get to the concert.
