To be honest, it bored me. I understood what was happening and I got all of the stuff you're supposed to get like how the being is just misunderstood and all that, but I was just so bored with it. I didn't care for the way she wrote, I didn't care for the characters, I didn't care for it all.

I don't care for YOU at all.

I polished off the first volume, and I love it so far. I'm really enjoying the style. I like how the perspectives are shifting (from Walton's letters to Frankenstein's narrative, etc). I can see where you may have found it boring, especially if you were expecting the bolt-necked grr grr Boris Karloff kind of Frankenstein. But I'm loving it. :mrgreen:

It's another book I didn't care for at all. However, it picked up near the end and I loved the ending of the book, it gives a fresh outlook to the entire book once you finsih it. Still, I didn't care for it.

I had to read Frankenstien for first term English.

I as well hated the style. The storytelling just did not get me engaged at all, because it always seemed like each of the characters just wanted to talk to be heard, not actually tell a story.

I like the ideas it's based on though.

i've had to read Frankenstien 3 times for 3 different classes and I had to watch the movie once. never watch the movie :no:
