There's no right answer to this. That's what is so upsetting about it. My only gripe is, if you decide to let her go, then why on earth starvation?

The reason they're not doing that is because they're in Florida and euthanasia is illegal there. The doctors have their hands tied, and taking away all nourishment isn't considered euthanasia. You're right, there are more humane ways to do it, but that's just the way the system works. I'm just as sad as all of you, a life fading away is truely a sad event. Maybe we can find some solace in the fact that she didn't feel any (significant amount of) pain in the process, as she was sedated.
As many other leagal pundits and members of the media have pointed out, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. This case just hit it big...way big. Let's just hope that the family finds peace as Terry has.
