maybe it was something different. kids as young as like...11 get braces haha. i got them at 13...i'm pretty sure i was still growing then

Braces are torture devices.

I stopped growing when I was 13. I had braces when I was 17. There was no connection between the 2.

And I had my braces precisely because I am missing some adult teeth!

I have heard of people getting the wrist thing done before. I think its to make sure that your jaw doesn't grow and mess up the spacing.

I had braces too but I didn't have to do that.

Damnit, I want to be a dentist.

I have braces now. They're feminist colours. That wasn't on purpose.

i haven't had braces, but the dentist wants me to get them this year.

i dunno. i like being short. i used to hate it though. i used to be the shortest in my class.

I'm 5'11 and I want to be taller.

i adore being short. 5'2..is perfect for me. i'm short enough to be unique. it's also fun being able to make fun of myself. i also have a hell of a good time trying to get onto high barstools.

Yeah, in my case, yes. I had a jaw spacer on the top jaw ... area... place...

and then I had to wait a certain amount of time before they would put braces on me. They were considering surgery which i seriously FREAKED out about and refused. They woulda broken my jaw and then made it.. different .. ish.,.. wider, etc

That would have scared me, cuz at the time i was scared to death of going under anesthesia - I hadn't since i was a wee lil thing and had my tonsils out.


so yeah they wanted to make sure my jaw wasnt going to grow more because of all of that stuff. so they took wrist x-rays and i guess im pretty much done growing - at least in height.
