Aww, it's true you know. You think you're gonna be alone forever and then either someone comes out of the blue or you realize that someone you've known for a long time is the perfect person. Funny how that happens....

Yeah, you give up and he comes along and you think he's made for you. THEN you realize he's just as stupid as the rest.

I can't imagine ever breaking up with my gf... it just doesn't seem possible, as much as we're only 18 and all...

imagine this....perfect guy comes along...good looking, sensitive, caring, all that good stuff. you date him for two months, ask him to be your boyfriend exclusively, he says, "no, i just got out of a long term relationship (in nov.) and i want to be able to see other people". okay, that's not too bad. fast forward, been dating 5 months. he has seen no one else, has looked at no one else, has collected no one else's phone numbers, looks into my eyes, tells me he loves me....and still will not be my committed boyfriend. he still says he needs the option of seeing other people. is it me or is this getting rediculous? haven't i given him enough of a chance to see other people? isn't it wrong to tell someone you love them and yet not want to be exclusive with them? or am i being to strict with this. in a sense we are exclusive, since neither of us have seen anyone else, but still...the fact that he won't lay it down and say, "lets be together and only with one another" is really weighing me down. am i wrong?

talk amongst yourselves...

It seems like the guy you're dating would be called a "moron." If he says he loves you, but won't date you, it means he doesn't love you and is trying to get some ass. No offense, but he is the most messed up guy I've heard of in a long time. He needs to get his shit straight, because it seems like he's doing nothing but fucking with your head.

"I love you" is just a few words to some ppl... Unfortunately people use it far too much when they don't mean it. I think you'd know if he actually meant it based on his actions.

Ok, I'm going to say what I think...but just remember...I suck. LOL

You should just ask him...if you really love me, why won't you date me exclusively? It seems like he's trying to look for something better, and if he thinks there is something better than you out there, then he doesn't really love you.

That sounds like great advice, Cass.

i've asked him about it many times and he gets upset and says he's not ready to commit to one person. i think maybe "i love you" means different things to me and him, because if he can say it so casually, then we certainly aren't on the same level. Thanks guys...your input was greatly appreciated

I've discovered that I am in part descended from the royal Stewart clan of Scotland, and that my clan's motto is/was, "Virescit vulnere virtus", or "Virtue strengthens at a wound". I like that.

Dude! I'm descended from Scottish royalty too! Either everyone in Scotland is royalty, or we're long lost cousins, Josh!
