Nope, PSN is completely free. Just create your PSN id and you're good to go.
The only stuff you have to pay for is the not-free stuff from the Playstation store, like full games and such.

I don't have any games yet, I'm waiting for some other stuff to come out first. Right now I'm just sticking to renting. Probably gonna check out Lair when it comes out in a couple weeks.

I'm totally getting a PS3 before the new Killzone gets released.
The PS3 is just starting to look too damn good for this anti-sony to resist.

Seriously man, it's an awesome machine. Sony's PR is terrible but the console itself is so awesome.

Did you have trouble signing up for PSN? I'm trying to sign up but, it keeps saying that my residential address is invalid. :I
I don't know what the fuck to do about that.
Oh and Neil, I definitely recommend that you get one.

the PS3 is jacked man. Ninja Gaiden Sigma, although sweet, is really hard. If there was a difficulty setting, I'd definitely switch it to easy.
I just wanna play as the chick with bouncy cleavage.
Oh and, I finally found some Wii's at the Walmart in the next town. They have twenty of them in stock!

I never had any trouble signing up, not even for my fake UK account where the address is '555 Abbey rd, London'
I think just as long as you fill out street + city it should work fine...

maybe the - in the street address is screwing it up or something.
You could always try using a fake address to see if that works.

Hrmm. Weird.
Well, you could try the old standby of reboot internet + reboot system.
When I was having some troubles with online in R6V I just restarted the PS3 and it worked fine afterwards.

...just turn off your ps3, turn off your modem (and if you have a router, unplug the power cord), then turn the modem back on, wait a little bit, plug the router back in, wait a little bit more and then turn the ps3 back on.
At least, that's how it works with my setup (DSL modem + wireless router)
