avalanche was the first one i actually owned, so i didnt think matt got any better than that. but either it wasnt as super-awesome as i thought it was, or 3 months of listening to nothing to it got me sick of it, but either way, i bought underdogs yesterday, and i intend to put it to good use
maybe the reason avalanche isnt doing it for me anymore is because i have a bad habit of getting into a cd all at once, and then associating that time/place/whatever i was doing at the time with the cd.
i was at summer school during my avalanche episodes. thats all i have to say

For some reason I'm realling into AOB at the moment - I had it on all day at work. Underdogs is still my fave though

I bought Avalanche first too.. then Underdogs, Beautiful Midnight, AOB. I have yet to buy LOTGA.. but the time will come. Beautiful Midnight is my favourite I think. However, I think it's kinda hard to compare MGB to just MG. And I'm bringing Underdogs to school (in my discman) tomorrow.
I plan out which CDs to bring to school each day of the week.. I'm geeky like that.

I like BM and underdogs a lot. And until i really sat down and listened to aob, i thought those two were better. But just for 'the rat who would be king' i'd say it has the edge over the other cds. The song is probably the best song i have heard in the past 2-3 years. It is outstanding. To me, it is to MGB as 4am is to OLP. I know a lot of people will disagree and say that 'apparitions' or 'suburbia' are, but trwwbk just appeals to me more.

What were the names of the songs released on houseofsmokeandmirrors.com and does anyone know where I can find them?

I'm too lazy to look back through the posts, so sorry if this has been covered before, but I finally managed to find some MG videos to download the other day and I was wondering if I'm missing any.
I now have:
Weapon
In A World Called Catastrophe
Anti-Pop
Everything Is Automatic
Strange Days
Hello Time Bomb
Load Me Up
Indestructible
Apparitions
Thankyou

Whee hee! I just bought Underdogs last week. It rocks my pants right off, especially Everything is Automatic.
Soozy J: Do you already have the video for "Carmelina" on your computer? If not, then you are, in fact, missing a video.

yay - thankyou. now I have to work out how to get it without being able to use kazaa.

You're also missing the Future is X-Rated.. but I don't think it's on Kazaa. Which is quite depressing as it's the only one I haven't seen.
Edit: Oh and you forgot Symbolistic White Walls, which
is on Kazaa.

Guys - I need more MG help please.
What's Matt singing at the end of Symbolistic White Walls when he sings it live?
I've just spent a very long time to work it out for myself, and then resorting to google for a bit more, but there's one bit I can't work out what he's saying and the 2 things I found from google don't seem to fit well. And now it's 1:30 in the morning and I really need to get some sleep
What I have is:
open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow in between you gotta master lying to yourself
(please tell me what he sings here), get outta school
you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
if that ain't panic that you're feeling, well you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with a hammer in your heart.
Thankyou

The nights and days
You close the book and float away
And somehow in between
You gotta master lying to yourself
You max your cards
Get out of school
You get a job

And somehow every day

And if that ain't panic that your feeling
Well you damn well better start

And it's all right now
Take the world and make it yours again

whoah.
Let me explain, I haven't been an mgb fan for too long. i just got into them this summer. So alot of great songs went unnoticed.
Right now i'm going back to BM, and i'm listening to 'Born To Kill' nonstop. Holy Shit! The end is one of the most spectacular things i have ever heard. When everything is just going crazy and then it just ends. AHHHH! It is outstanding!
Tell me any other songs that might have gone unnoticed. From any cd other than AOB.

i believe the ending of 'Born to Kill' was sposed to be the musical interpetation of someones death/murder. Or maybe it was the inside of a psychotic's mind i can't remembe, either way it's prtty damn powerful
