Yeah it's actually a pretty big deal here. I'm not a huge fan, but they are fun. I just hate being that cold for that long...

I've been to one hockey game in my life. A relative of my siblings was visiting from Africa, and my parents thought hockey and skiing were good choices. Poor guy. He never came back...

Hockey is fun here cause of the fights. Other than that, I'm totally down with basketball instead.

There was a town in BC that held a hockey fighting night. There was no hockey, just fights on ice...

....i am close friends with a certain someone named Reza, he is 31, i am 17. he asked me on a date and its legal. and i said yes. wtf.
so should i be worried about the age gap?
should i even be in this situation?
If it's legal and you like him and feel comfortable with the age gap then go for it. But if you aren't 100% comfortable with it then wait a while. You're old enough to make your own decisions, your mom will come to terms with it sooner or later, but you should be honest with her still.

The fact that she's even asking makes me think she's not fully comfortable with it.

Here's my opinion. If the younger person is closer to their age divided by 2 then there age, then it shouldn't be happening.
31/2=15.5
17 is closer to 15 then 31.
Therefore, eww.
