Her argument was not based on whether or not expensive clothing is for tools. It was based on the replies you've made towards people who have said expensive clothing are for tools.

Really I'm sure most of us could care less if your willing to spend $400 dollars on jeans or that you've spent $12000 on clothes. I mean sweet man, if that’s your hobby, go hard. Your clothes don’t make you a tool, but to the individuals here your justification for buying them does.

I don't think anyone here has anything against you. The only problem is, you don't show up for ages, and then it's like some sort of mission to bombard the CM with pointless threads that all really do the same thing. Granted, MOST of the threads here are pointless and full of spam. Usually, we only get a few a day so it's not an overload. Not to mention, and I'm sure that you are just being overly sarcastic, but people don't take kindly when you go in the love and relationships thread and say such shallow things. That's just my personal opinion.
