when you guys say USA do you mean Government Aid or Private Charitys.?.
I think the Red Cross had over 30 million last night.That is where I gave. I think they said it goes from their NYC heads to DC, then Geneva then on to the appropriate places the money is needefor what they need to help people. That is why they are urging people to send money.,

There are alot more people giving in the USA then you realize. I know form the NYC area along there are tons of charity, organizations sending help. there is this one place. I forgot hwere that wanted to raise 100grand by the end of the weke to bring over themselves. The people who own it are form Sri Lanka originally..

It could easily reach half a million given the chance for disease, and the lack of food/water/medicine. Hence the constantly growing need for aide.

India Says No To Outside Tsunami Relief
Before you yell at them for not taking the aid, think of it this way... India is a very large nation with relatively little damage (Sri Lanka took the brunt of damage directed towards India), and they're asking that the relief go to other nations that need it more. If they need aid, they'll ask for it.
I for one applaud their bravery. It's refreshing to see even one of the victims being generous.
Just as long as they do take aid if they need it...

Yeah, I agree totally. That's really good that they want the aid to go to the countries that were harder hit.
I'm so glad the US finally realized we need to donate more money. That seriously was just beyond pathetic.

As of now the USA is giving 350 million in aid.. Followed next by Britian at 95 million and so on. ( other coutries- I think there were about 10-15 differetn countries) Canada was about 31 millionThey had a break down in the paper today.. They also had a breakdown on how your money goes.
$10.00 will feed a family for 5 days
$15.00 was 2 blankets I believe
$20.00 was vacinations for a few people.
I don't remember off hand.. They also had yesterday fornt page news people vacationing on beach where bodies were still being placed.. They actualy had one of these rich guest complain about the service. It amazes me how people can be so shallow. This inceident effects us all whether directly or indirectly. It has changed us and the planet ...

I've not seen about it happening to close to where there are bodies, but the economies in those places are so dependent on tourism that some people are choosing to stay there and help the local economy in that way even if they can't help wtih rescue efforts.
