Mechanical Thought wrote:It seems to have something to do with height as well, sometimes. I mean, my friend and I have the same pair of pants from AE. Mine are a size two and hers are a ten. She's not fat at all, she's just 5'9, while I'm only 5'3. And, they make different lengths so ... I don't know?

I was gonna say that. Cos, my waist isn't as small as I'd like it to be... but I'm still anywhere from about size 0 to like a size 3... but I'm only 5'4"... and I know girls that have probably about the same size waist as me who wear much higher sizes. I think girl's sizes depend a LOT on height, and whether we're proportionate.

Guys sizes make so much more sense. I'd love to just go into a store and look at a rack of pants, find my dimensions, and just buy them... although, I do kinda enjoy the "trying on" process. :P

I don't enjoy it at all. I HATE it. It has to be the perfect day. I mean, the stars have to be in alignment, I have to have had the perfect amount to eat, it has to be a certain time of the month, and I have to be in a good mood just be persuaded to try something on.

I try on pants all the time, I don't care about them not fitting right. Except when I need a different size and I walk out in my undies to get another pair or go talk to the cashier or worker to get me another one, people react really weird...

I wear a 30x32 as well. Yay skinny! Nikki you shouldn't worry about waist size. You have a very nice figure.

I'm so confused by your sizes. I thought that american sizes were the same as english ones minus 2 so an english 12 would be an american 10. But the smallest sizes we have is normally 8, with the occasional 6 in petite. So how you can have a size 0 I really don't know.

Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

european sizes confuse me. especially when customers call and gimme me their european sizes and ask what they're american size. WTF. are ALL your clothes in european sizes and you live in north carolina!!!!!

hey that was cool. when i typed that in the quick reply box "european" was the first word in every line. i think that's a sign i should move to europe.

Well then it can't be right, unless Europeans are heavier, which I doubt is true. If it is that way, your smallest size should be a -2.

We've actually got negative sizes, though. I've definitely seen a -1 on the rack before, and I've heard of lower.

It's insanity, I tell ya. :freak:
