there are several canada stores in mexico actually. they sell trinkets and other items with the canadian flag on them. canadian booze natually. it;'s mostly tourist type stuff really.
they don't carry a whole lot of stuff from canada simply because the hot items are the pancho villa/emilio zapata/che guevara stuff, catholic/religious stuff, and wedding/quince stuff.
i almost got a traffic violation ticket in Mexico!!!!!

Luckily for me the guy was crooked, so we gave him 10 bucks and he left.

that's not the way it works in mexico.
this is how it went down:
we were looking for a place that sells running boards for my cousin's truck. he was behind me a few cars back. When i did find a place i wanted to make sure he saw me, so what i did was make a u-turn while there were a few cars behind me, including my cousin. no big deal really, i mean c'mon it's fucking mexico man, it's just that cool. so i make this u-turn and pull off to the side of the road, and i flash my cousin with my headlights. as he drives by to probably make a u-turn also, i look in my mirror to see this guy on a vulcan bike comming up to me. sure enough he was a cop.
he told me not to make such turns, that if i need to turn like that to use the side streets and go around the block, then he took my licence. he them proceeded to ask me where i worked, this was done so that he could see just how much money he could get from me. i told him i'm a student. so then he told me that we were going to have to go to the office to clear up this matter and pay a fine of 26 bucks. this scared the shit out of me because if your evenually going to have to pay this guy off, you should do it right then and there, not at the office, because there's more people there and more people means more money to be paid. so sure enough i have to follow this guy to this "office". we turn off the main road to a side road with no traffic in it. sure enough he stops in front of an abandoned building and i was thinking to myself, this ain't no damn office, it's a godamn residential neigborhood, and sure enough he got off and asked me, if i wanted to go to the office or just to resolve the issue right now. so i asked him how much, and he said, well your a student, so i know your broke, 10 should do it. i paid him 10 bucks, he gave me back my licence, and we both went on our seperate ways.
moral of the story:
when pulled over by a cop in mexico, do not show any valuable belongings and tell them your a poor student. then wait till he asks for a bribe then pay it. whatever you do, for the love of god, do not go to the office, and if there are two cops pulling you over, take all of your money and stuff it into your shoes, because more then likely, they will search your car and take all valuables.
oh and you might not want to do u-turns in mexico. nah, fuck it do u-turns in mexico, when in rome.....

god bless south america for crooked people! sometimes i think we need more up here in north america.

Mexico is in Central America, not south.
secondly, we do have an abundance in crooked people. it's just that our crooked people don't look after our needs and wants like this guy who made 10 bucks by letting me slide. it's a win-win baby.

the way i see it...
mexicans - south americans
americans - central americans
canadians - north americans

yes, that's right south texas, as in i know where north is, where east is and where west is, as compared to my general locations.
