It's definitely a bad sign. Raine is definitely not impressed up to this point with his work. It's evident because we constantly keep hearing the phrase, "finishing up the cd with BoB Rock" or "Recording their cd with Bob Rock."

Now by holding off it's clear Raine isn't wanting to put out crap and wants to make sure they release good product. That is a good thing.

Alot of their songs they played on tour last time were pretty weak with the exception of Not Afraid. I honestly miss Mike. The songs he is working on are very good and innovative to a point. You can tell it's Mike the second you listen to a few Riff's. I like that.

At any rate I really want another OLP cd, and I really don't want to wait till January!!

Raine doesn't have controll over that. Only Sony does.

Not really, Sony wants this album to come out so they can start making money on it. They would do some market forecasting, but they wouldn't hold it for over 6 months. The band really is the ultimate factor. If they wanted it to come out within 3 months it could/would.

Sony will put the album out in August. They want the money. And Sony knows that if they make the fans wait it will piss them off. And Sony doesn't want anyone to get angry at them. Therefore Sony will release the Album in August.

They have the control. Their motives are inconsequential right now, because they own the music. They're going to be too late for the summer rush, so they might wait for a Christmas release. Who knows?

There is no way that would happen. Pending the album is completed we can expect it within 3-4 months after that. NO label would ever hold an album for like 6+ months after completion. I'll be working in the industry so I know how it works. However, I wouldn't expect the cd to be out in August. I would think single in middle/late July and CD release Mid September in Canada. If there were some extraordinary circumstances then they might hold it, but there are none that i'm aware of. The cd will come out regardless of a tour schedule. Touring is mainly what makes the band money, cd release is what makes the label money.
