i think you should blame the crossbar for getting in the way of ville's shot
or how bout the puck for not getting over auld's stick on the gelinas breakaway
seriously though
as sucky as the end was for flames fans or as good as the end was for nuck fans
there is nothing anyone can complain about in that game
that was what playoff hockey was all about

i love the playoffs and regardless of the outcome of the habs/bruins series its been fun hockey to watch and the OT was ridiculously wide-open
(as was this game btw)
its just fun to watch :)

That's sooooooooooo not true!! That game stung.

For Calgary fans, this is like 1994 (and 95) all over again.

'Twas fun though. The Saddledome was a zoo. The place was 2/3 full 10 minutes after the game had ended....

Here's hoping to a Flames thrashing of the Canucks tomorrow :D

okay it was only partly bad :P
but the gist of my point is still true
and yeah i can understand full hand how much it stung (thanks to mr. kovalev) but at the same time.. i do know what its like to be on the other side of the coin (11 times in a row during the 93 playoffs and such)
but from an objective standpoint (where i was trying to come from in my original post) that game was amazing
and as far as the flames are concerned.. they're a young team and theyve played mighty impressive hockey to date and i think that will continue and as long as they play hard and play to their best they will do better than most expected

i have to agree.

thay really havent been playing well.
no forechecking whatsoever
they're just dumping the puck in sitting back.
i've never seen a team give up as many icing as they did in the third.

btw im not trying to be an ass or whatever but its true
they got one lucky bounce off a skate and tried to ice the game afterwards

wow
thats pretty much all i have to say heh
the hockey gods did the right thing though
that last goal shouldnt have counted technically (the slash to the stick in that case is technically an interference penalty and it resulted directly in a goal)
but other than that  iggy
that guy is amazing

Yep! Iggy is something else.

It's quarter to 1 right now and I can't sleep. Not because of Calgary's win tonight... But because of the air horns and the honking of cars outside. It's nuts in Calgary right now!!

Yeah, a "goal-scorers" goal.

Congrats to the Habs tonight. Theodore was awesome. Kovalev has really stepped it up. Hopefully they can take out TB.

I'm all for Calgary-Montreal Final (with a 1989 outcome :D )

i wouldnt mind the calgary-montreal final but the outcome of the series would have to be different then 1989 however, i'd say a 1986 result would be nice

and yeah theo was great tonight as was kovy, zednick and once again, koivu
