And it's really nice seeing all these positive things about OLP for once... I think that made me just as happy as hearing/seeing these clips.

Well, the album seems to be looking prety good to me.......but I am still worried that Gravity-esque problems may re-emerge here. I'm liking the new songs. Hopefully they can capture the intensity on the album.

I'm glad they are taking their time and wish them all the best over the holidays.

The only thing I want to know is when the album is coming out.....and when can we expect to hear a single??

Well Gravity came out in June, and SOT in March, right?

So, if the new album is expected in spring, I'd say February.

However, SOT was released far too long before the album. I was tired of it by the time Gravity came out.

This album seems to have a bit of a "happier/cheerful" sound to it, which OLP hasn't ever really done before. Should be interesting.

I can really "feel" Raine in "Don't Ask Why", it sounds really good. I really want to hear more of it. I wish it didn't end at the "IIIIIIIIII-eee-IIIII..."

These clips were pretty cool, in my opinion... except the quality sucked ass, so all I got was a video that was so far off the audio, it wasn't even funny. And I hate my computer, let's just say that for now.

But, yeah, it was interesting, and intriguing (sp?), and I wanna hear more! :D

DAW seems really SM-ish to me... well, at least in those, what, 20 seconds of it? Not saying it's a bad thing... like I said, it's really intriguing.

This is the best christmas present :D

Don't Ask Why? =   I really really want to hear the whole song. There will be trouble if this doesn't make it onto the album!

Not Afraid - I've always liked the music better than the lyrics and I like these lyrics more than those they've been playing recently ... but I still think the lyrics from the shows I saw in March are way superior to these. Still, there's still time for them to change some more :)
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Don't ask why sounds really fucking good. and I think they picked the wrong set of lyrics for Not afraid... its like a tour song... its good, but i like the JUNO's version the best

People! The Juno's version of Not Afraid made NO SENSE AT ALL! They weren't even lyrics yet! That was just Raine's way of playing around with sounds and random words until he could think of something that worked!

Yeesh!

But he was saying "know" and "no", so it's okay.

I'm wondering, is that the finished version of the song?? OR is that just a smaple that hasn't been mixed and what not?

The songs sound good, but the quality here isn't all that great. Not Afraid didn't sound all that great (despite it being a good song) and Raine's voice sounded very live-like.......is that what they are going for?

They are all works in progress, not done yet.

But they are going for the Live feel.

They're not final verisons. Anything about them can change between now and final versions. Lyrics, music, anything ;-)

As they said on the site, they're not even sure what will make the album yet.

Holy crap....this is the first time I feel good about OLP in a VERY long time....
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
