Did "live" deserve to win best album of the year in Chart's poll?? I really really doubt it. There was tons of other more worthy albums to choose from, but many of us OLP fans blindy hit the OLP button, despite that the question wasn't "who's the better band" it was best album, and LIVE wasn't even an album!!!! that's exactly why i didn't want to bring it up, it seemed like not many people knew. So i didnt' want to send then running to OLP's aid. At one point they were getting their asses handed to them by IME. Not that i expected people to vote for IME, but they sure as hell could've picked a better album then LIVE. there was a list of about 30 albums, basically every rock album, and pop album that came out this year.

People don't actually vote on what's in the poll, people just vote for the band(s) they like.

if anything this thread brought attention to the poll since thats what people thought it was about. I honestly don't think they would have gotten many more votes, if any, for making a thread about this poll. If they were obsessive followers they would have known about it from olp.cc and if not they would have voted for the most diserving, if they voted at all.
As a shameless olp follower I can honestly say I did not go onto chartattack and vote for olp in every possible catigory and all that shit because its not worth it. I voted but I voted for who I though diserved to win.
Maybe I'm crazy but I really don't know how you can say they don't diserve any more publicity. Thats pretty awful. Even people like Avril diserve publicity because they work their asses off for that. Maybe you listen to rock radio stations that abuse that CanCon shit or something but I haven't heard anything about olp in a long time other then on here. I'm probably bias but I don't see a whole lot of over-exposure with the band.
