Did anyone respond to this? Bah.
There's a whole lot of theological philosophy on this subject. I'm pretty sure the most prominent philosophers to address it are Rene Descartes and Thomas Aquinas. The gist of what I've read is that God is eternal because of his essence - he exists because he exists, or causa sui. I haven't read any of the actual rationalizations on that specific topic, but I know that they're out there, and some of the rational theo-philosophical arguements I've read - especially by Descartes - are quite solid. If anything, they make you think. Go grab Descartes Meditations if you're interested.
This kinda died a little while ago, but w/e...
I find it'd just best to just say to urself that we arent smart enough to understand the whole creation of everything cause if u tried, well something created God (maybe, we dont know) but then something woulda had to creat that something, ect, ect. So best just to pic what makes sense to u and stick to it
Agnostic. Woo.
The thing is, we can reason things from premisese that are undeniable. There are rational arguements (largely unprovable of course) for the existence of a God, and certain properties of this God can be reasoned by similar means. One of these properties is that it is eternal, and was not created by anything. I don't know much about these arguements, so I can't tell you much more than that they exist. But I'd personally say it's not worth it to just shrug off the most important details of existence just because it's extremely difficult. Make up your own mind, of course. But go looking.

Y'see, most people find philosophy useless, I think it's the most important subject there is.
