Sleepy Hollow was so so.........very good visually, but Burton still let's style overshadow story. I thought he was better directing Beetlejuice, Batman, and edward Scissorhands.

He seemed really nice, but there were so many people around him it was hard to tell. He is apparently a real ladies man.

No, I didn't get paid for the internship. I saved all summer and used up my line of credit that I have for school. It is insanely expensive living in LA, plus you add in the exchange (the Cdn dollar wasn't quite as good as it is now when I was there). Basically I came back very poor, but it was worth every penny.

If you're interested in internships, I think Paramount is the only studio that pays their interns, all the others are slave labour. But, since you are American, you could get a job on the side because internships aren't usually full hours.

I was just wondering, has anyone here read "The Kid Stays in the Picture" by Robert Evans, or seen the documentary of the same name? If so, what did you guys think?

If you haven't I highly recommend both book and movie. If you don't know anything about him, he started as an actor, became head of Paramount and turned it into the number one studio with Rosemary's Baby, The Godfather, Love Story, Chinatown, and a bunch of others. He's basically a Hollywood legend, and watching or reading his story is really amazing.

Lando, what uni have you gone/are you going to? I need some help on deciding where to go to get the best education for this kinda stuff.

I haven't actually went to a University, I've been going through Tech Schools and Film Schools directly. Also, I've been lucky because I had 3 years work experience with no previous schooling. I started working in Grade 10 for the national TV series and just learned everything from the head DP (Director of Photography)

He basically taught me everything at first and because I already had experience I could take courses in half the time or even less. Like the teacher's course, I only have to take a 10 day course instead of a 2 month course or something like that. There are other examples I have too, but they're basically all the same...

Depending on what you're looking for, you can work in certain areas while taking education. There are some schools one some of the B.C. Islands that can help you with that... They aren't full semesters, some are only like 2 months long or something then you're employable while you further advance your education.
