Everytime I hear "Creed", it reminds me of that Undergrads episode. The one where they have no money so they go to the free christian rock concert. Yea. :uh:

I'm on the cm and I don't hate Creed. So you can't say everyone here hates Creed.

Creed is not pop, just because they are on the radio deoesn't make them pop. If that's so, then so is OLP cause they get almost as much air time here.

Creed used to be my favorite band, but not really so much anymore. But I will never "hate" them.

I'm not going to get started on whether Creed is/isn't pop.......but I'll drop it though most definitely.

Thank you :)

Well I'm not saying we should argue, but I don't mind a good debate. How bout a discussion? What is the definition of pop? I thought it was "popular" music.

That used to be the defintion, but such things change. "Pop" music, as defined originally would be "any popular music". However, "pop" now has it's own genre. It's the stuff like Britney Spears and NSync. The only known description that brings said genre into it's own category is "poppy". That's why it is known as Pop. Therefore, the definition has changed.

It can still be used to describe popular music, but rarely is. Much like "gay" used to be used primarily to describe a state of happiness (which, by the way, is not a fish that you can catch), but is now rarely used in that context.

LOL, well I understand what the "pop" genre is. So how does Creed sound anything like Brittany Spears or NSYNC?

Personally, I don't think they do. They're a popular rock band. Not a "pop/rock" band.
