why has the jeff forum been deleted?

we need the jeff forum on here because the jeff board was created as a joke.

at least up until now.

maybe we have to move our posting community over there where the admins aren't so uptight, and let's face it, a bunch of wierdos.

and the point of the jeff forum was for good fun.

i was going to make into the cm playground and have games and contests and all kinds of fun shit.

i even wanted to toss a few of my own dollars a month into the cm so i could help make it a super rad place.

but no one else wanted that.

ok, but enough screwing around. quite seroiusly - why has the jeff forum been erased? jeff & i & others had plans to overhaul it and make it cooler then ever. i'm curious as to why the "powers that be" felt it had to go.

something i don't think a lot of you get is that being one of "jeff's groupies" or a member of "Al Jeffaida" is not like some screwed up way to build up jeff's ego. the group of us aren't groupies, we're just people who mostly have the same views and a similar sense of humour. jeff posts a lot and so he sort of became our mascot. but we don't actually worship him. i for one just think it's funny how bent out of shape some of you get over jeff.

it's got nothing to do with ego. going back to that keyshawn quote.. if you have a problem with jeff, then you have a problem with yourself.

seriously though - if you don't like jeff, or any of us jeffites for that matter, why don't you stop and ask yourself why? it's not like we're mean. we don't cause trouble. we just want to have a laugh and make friends.

I don't have a problem with Jeff. And I don't have a problem with any of the so-called Jeffites, either. It's just that there is a whole lot of spam going on that is incredibly annoying to people who like to discuss what the board was actually put here to discuss: Our Lady Peace.

Why is it such a big deal to take that kind of stuff off the board and into email, PMs, AIMs, etc?

there is an OUR LADY PEACE FORUM which is not spammed by me or my g's.

there are conversation forums where we converse.

well, not to be rude, but there is a whole section of this board devoted to non-OLP discussion. if people only want to talk about OLP, then they only have to read the OLP topics.

i never spam in the OLP topics. if you [ or anybody for that matter ] don't want to read the jeff posts, don't click on his forum.

the jeff forum was the hangout for the jeffites. no reason to rain on our parade just because people don't understand it.

Look. I didn't delete the forum, and I don't know who did. All I did was take the poll. I agree that there's lots of spam going on. Some of it I admit I find interesting. Some of it I don't. So when the poll asked about the jeff-forum, which I personally feel is taking the spam too far (as in, we all have THREADS for our meaningless posts, not an entire forum), and I voted no, and you wanted me to explain myself, I did.

Can we get on with life instead of arguing this over and over again? Take it up with a mod.

the forum is gone b/c the admins decided to get rid of it.

we took a vote and it was decided that to start the new CM the jeff forum was not necessary.
