I am still waiting for Jake Gyllenhall to get an Oscar...

And about the Grammy award crap. I would have only watched it this year for one reason, and that was the tribute to Layne Staley. I missed it, but I sure as hell hope the people in the crowd gave him a real ovation, because if they didn't, then they don't listen to any "rock" music today. Face it, AIC is partly responsible for all rock music that is popular today. I am talking about rock, and not prog rock and nu metal and other garbage like that.

Oh yeah, and any other year, I would never watch this, seeing that none of the bands I truly like and listen to would ever get nominated for an award. It will be a cold day in hell when Alkaline Trio, OLP, or Hot Rod Circuit get nominated for a Grammy.

I really don't see why Norah Jones won. Her music is so narcoleptic and boring. All of the songs are the same.

I don't see why Norah Jones or John Mayer won this year. Please tell me that they have amazing, breath-taking voices so I can laugh at you. Norah Jones' voice lulls you to sleep, and John Mayer....ehhh he just makes me want to rip out his vocal cords and teach him that raspy does not equal good.

She's under these categories:

Single of the Year with: Blue Rodeo, Celine Dion, Our Lady Peace, and Sam Roberts

Fan Choice award with: Diana Krall, Celine Dion, Nickelback and Shania Twain .. she has good chances there

Album of the year with: Our Lady Peace, Daniel Bélanger, Celine Dion, and Shania Twain .. good chances there too

New Artist of the year with: Shawn Desman (), K-OS (:wtf:), Sam Roberts and Sarah Slean .. again good chances there.

Oh and Pop Album of the year, so that's 5 nominations I guess with Jarvis Church, Emm Gryner, Amanda Marshall and Alanis Morrisette

Thanks Joey, Looks like Avril is going to clean up!

Remember how OLP had like 7 nominations for the MMVA (or something) and then stupid Bin Laden Destroyed some towers and they were cancelled?

that sucked.

I hope she gets violated at the Junos too......maybe that will tone down her ego a touch.

I would laugh a lot. It would be beautiful for her to not win anything. Then maybe she will get the future she deserves, struggling to make a second album that totally flops!

Yeah, you could surmise that. She gives pop-punk a bad name. Yeah, I don't like pop-punk, and yet I am defending it because she is the most recognizable figure in the genre, when she is nothing more than a poser that is nothing more than a typical Britney Spears song with pretty faces playing music in the background and her wearing a tank top and a wristband. Damnit.

Yeah. Someone on TV said her image is just as calculated as Britney Spears' and I totally agree.

I can't get over the fact that she first was a country singer, that had some huge revalation and became this punk rock god or something. She is nothing. It makes me sick that people even think she is punk, and only has one fast song on her entire cd. Hey, I am sure Britney Spears has a fast song on her cd, so let's make her our new punk rock god. All hail the voice of the punk rock kids....Britney Spears!

And while we're at it, let's make sure that good bands like Anti-Flag and Crass never get spoken of because, you know, they're not punk and all, right?

Yeah, I heard about how she tried out for competitions and contests and stuff doing country songs. Don't singers usually sing stuff they enjoy and are comfortable with? Makes sense to me....

I seriously hope she disappears. The fact that people classify her in the same group as Alkaline Trio, Anti-Flag, AFI, One Man Army, Further Seems Forever, and bands of the sort just is sick. How can anyone believe that a girl that sings what she is told to and sells an image, and not good music, can be classified with those bands? She's nothing more than the Go-Go's without the heroin abuse (yet). But then again, at least the fucking Go-Go's wrote their own songs and played their own instruments. Maybe she should venture back into country, maybe she can sell that image incorrectly and be happy there, but what she does now makes me sick.

I'm willing to bet she walks off with at least 2 of the 5 Juno's she's nominated for
