I just told my mom yesterday I think I am depressed. Anyone ever seen a psychologist before?

I never have, but my brother has.
I would recommend it. It's good to have someone there to help sort shit out. Personally, I think everyone should have a psychologist. It helps with one of those things that gets lost in the busy-ness of this day and age. Thats why I want to be a psychologist, because I think it a really good idea, and very important. Plus, its not a contract, if you don't like it, you don't have to go back.

Recently my doctor told me that before I get a referral for the sleep clinic I need to see a psychologist, since I'm young for that sort of thing. So........I may be going soon so that I can find out how I can sleep again.

its just that i've felt this way for about 2 years and thats not normal. i think its either depression or some sort of social phobia. my mom thought that i would just have to correct it myself, but it might be more than that.

I got ESFP, which is funny, because I was 1% extrovert. My description opens off as "You're the life of the party" when I really just crawl off to a corner and hope no one sees me most of the time. So yeah, I am really an ISFP, but the site says I am extroverted.

i felt bad for two years too. but i feel better now. i hope you can feel better too.

Not to sound rude or anything, but if you get tests taken to see what you're like, make sure they check if you're bi-polar too. I am not saying you are, because I don't know enough about you to even comment what you are, but it never hurts to check. You don't want to be given pills that won't help you and all.

I have an appointment for Thursday at 7:15. I've taken a lot of tests online (although I can't say I know how reliable those are) and it says that I show a lot of symptoms of depressions. I also thought that with bi-polar there were ups and downs. Right now there are only downs.

It's pretty accurate........except I have strong psychological bounderies. I sometimes let people push me around, but not if they are doing it on purpose.
