I don't see what was so amazing about it. It was good, but nothing close to great.
I thought so too.
definitely. i thought it kinda sucked...but my best friend was really freaked out...i dont get it. Yeah...XXX was one of the worst movies i have EVER seen..and because of it, i ALMOST got a speeding ticket. It was one of those "omg i wanna get the hell out of here" speeding moods. So yeah...i heard the xxx sot commercial and was just like...sick. However, i have the best solution: dont watch tv. it sucks. hardcore.

It all seems so contaigious, not to be yourself and faceless in a song that has no soul.
And maybe you just need, a friend, as clumsy as youve been...

Exactly, well, not while watching big brother, but that I think SOT suits it as well.

I could rant about him, but he likes Alkaline Trio, so he's OK in my books.

i just don't think expressing your opinion, or even being a hypocrit makes you, and i quote "fucking retarded"... i could be wrong
Death gives meaning to our lives, it gives importance and value to time. Time would become meaningless if there were too much of it. -Ray Kurzweil
and it's not fair to lump us all in together as "little bitches whining" cuz not all of us are complaining about it .. I didn't complain, cuz I don't care if 30 seconds of their song appears on a commercial .. even if it is a shitty movie
You're lucky you like Alkaline Trio....anyways, the majorty of the people here on the board don't give a fuck if OLP is somewhat known now. The people who say they don't OLP on the commercial are the ones who have seen XXX and truly don't like the movie. No one is complaining about the song being in the ads to that Alias show, because people either don't watch it or don't have a problem with it. It's just that people don't want to see OLP used in a crappy commercial for a crappy movie. I don't think anyone here flipped out when OLP's "Life" was used on the trailers for "Men With Brooms" so it just depends on what movie it's being used on.

clumsyfish wrote:ahhhh well that's understandable .. I never saw the movie but it does look pretty bad :| Would that have been olp's decision or sony's decision to do that?
Columbia Records/Sony.
See. The movie is a production of Columbia Pictures. Columbia Records and Pictures are divisions of Sony. Seeing how OLP is on Sony/Columbia you can see how that goes.
