I'm downloading that now, I just reformatted my computer. It would be faster if I wasn't surfing on CM.

god i was trapped like you wouldn't believe. i guess i've always liked good music to an extent and then when i hit preteen-about 16 i got distracted or something, MAJORLY distracted.

i bought tori amos's "boys for pele" when it first came out (one of my first cd's) and there are a bunch of songs that i heard going through my early teenage years that i heard but didn't think to download so in essence, i lost them but they always stayed with me subconciously and then when i hear them now its like "holy shit! that's the song!" examples of this are: clumsy, superman's dead, IAH?, starseed, paranoid android, karma police, judith, spark, only happy when it rains, push it....there are so many more that im forgetting.. damn

yeah i definately know what you're talking about, i must have heard clumsy at some point before i got into olp and it must have made some sort of impression on me cause i can remember pieces of a song going through my head and i thought it went "I'll be watching you... something something something.." and thats all i could remember but it would run through my mind incessantly. and then when i finally heard clumsy i was just like omg thats it!

i think that for me the whole circle of pop shit period happened just because all my friends were in love with the backstreet boys. i felt left out so naturally i went out and bought a backstreet boys cd so i could sing along too. it really only lasted about 3 or four months though, so i feel lucky

NunoFreak wrote:It seems like a majority of Our Lady Peace fans that I meet on here and on the 'Net in general, are under the age of 18. Does anyone else find this odd? I'm not saying this is a bad thing, but it's weird since OLP have deeper lyrics than most bands these days. I would say the average age of OLP fans that go to their concerts are 15 and 16. I have yet to meet a fan of OLP who is older than 23. Why don't we all post our ages just to see how well my theory pans out. I'm 23, next...

the average age of the majority of their fans are between the ages of 15-25 years old. There are some younger, there are some older.

I fall into the older crowd. You know it wasn't till I saw them in Canada a few years ago, I realized they had young fans. But hey at least Raine is writing meaniful things that make you think. I rather have akid hear that they some of the stuff out there now adays. Funny thing is I do like some of the stuff that should be banned like eminen and korn. I love both of their new CD's.

Trust me there are older fans out there.

Heard Clumsy when it first came out, LOVED it. Never looked into who sung it though. Then I heard IAH? I then picked up Clumsy, Happiness, and Naveed. Soon after that SM, and just quite recently Gravity.

Age-wise, I'm a whopping 17 this Sunday
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

Hmm... I am currently 14. I've liked OLP since I heard Superman Is Dead on the radio in 2000. I bought SM on a whim, and I loved it, needless to say.
I know this was earlier in the topic, but I'll be 17 my 1st year of college too! Go young people!(I shipped 7th grade, if you're curious).

I'm 24 and I've only been a fan for a few months. Sorry ;)

Oh, and to add to the age thing, I was in kindergarten at three but didn't start first grade until I was six. (Social aspect). I'm currently, as I've told some members of Train and some members of Great Big Sea, SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING ON MY MASTERS THESIS!

Hm, yeah I fall into the youngest person in class category, it sucks :(

I'm 15 and am starting my junior year in H.S., so I'll be 17 when I start college too, I think it had to do with cut off dates and such, never really looked into it though.
