That's true.
But not everyone's willing to accept opinions. I'm guilty of not being accepting all the time.
I see where you're coming from, I guess. But I don't think it's right.

wow you guys...wow. the reason we instated the rules is because we wanted to see if we could get this place back like it was before all the fighting. we obviously couldnt do it with one person's reasoning against another's so al stepped in. i think it is evident now that we can't handle a board this big without guidelines. the rules were designed to keep peace, not start shit...they also are not meant to be stifling in any way. i dare you to find for me a successful messageboard this size that has no guidelines.
try optimism for a change

back to normal? perhaps momentarily...we demonstrated that one little thing can rip us apart from being a community. i think we needed change, perhaps to head off any future arguments

i dont know if your thinking your going to stop all dissagreements or something, but thats never going to happen
with this amount of people everyones got an opinon and everyones got a different idea mostly, conflict is inevitable so when it happens put up with it, not everyone needs to get involved in it everytime

Does that mean that if someone states an opinion, you're only allowed to comment if you agree, and that if you do not agree you might as well shut your face?

Honestly, I didn't ever really notice a problem.
This all feels a little bit corporate, but whatever works for you, I guess.

i didnt say that, all im saying is dont bring yourself into an argument if all your going to do is complain about people fighting and not be able to take it when you got yourself into it.
like the old saying goes, if you cant handle the heat stay out of the kitchen

personally, i dont see the problem with trying. i am well aware that i can't solve all the CM's problems but it also wont help for me to sit on my ass and do absolutely nothing.

its not that hard too let people express their thoughts tho, theres a difference between letting it go to hell and letting the people have an opinon

I don't mind the rules, I mind the new forum titles. I entirely understand the needs of forum rules and almost every forum I visit has them. But who can explain me the logic behind changing the forum titles?
Please excuse my previous post, I was listening to Matt Good and I couldn't control my fingers.
