Just thought it should be noted, that according to America's music charts, which is based off radio plays, Heavyweight is the number 3 Rock song in Canada, 377 plays on the radio and rising since last week. I know the guys don't care so much about success and fame, but I'm glad to see this gaining some real popularity :)

Great news... I knew it was getting a lot of airplay because I've had a lot of friends texting me telling me that they were hearing it on the radio every day. I don't listen to the radio much anymore myself.

I've got 100 blank cds, I'm thinking I'm gonna burn a cd and leave it at my local stations every few days until they play it.

Anyone figure out any guitar tab for this yet. I can't seem to figure out the opening riff.

do stations still play new rock music?
I don't pay attention much anymore, but I couldn't even name a new rock band. All I ever hear about is pop and dance.

My "rock" station rarely plays a new song. Mainly stuff from 2007-2010. It's a terrible station.

Haven't listened to my local rock station in over a year so I wouldn't know. But they've never played OLP.

I know FM 96 plays it in London and I'm fairly certain 103.3 The Edge out of Buffalo plays it also. Buffalo loves them some OLP

I always know when I am in Canada. Went up few weekends ago. Everytime I turn on a radio. No matter where within a song or two OLP come on. Heard this one..

Also have to say it. STOP DROP ROLL.

My friend and I both saidit. Sounds like a PSA from a fireman..

and now a special annoucement from Mr Raine Maida

ok kids when face witha fire remember these three things

STOP( what youare doing)
DROP( to the ground)
ROLL( the hell out of there)

that is all..

can't help but think that every time I hear that line.

oh and it there was no vocals and heard just the guitar would swear it was EDGE playing and not our guy Steve.. yeah for Steve. Finally playing to his potential. :)

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Yeah, not feeling it either. Probably because it's a totally different genre. But I think there may be some cool rock-inspired remixes once the app is released.

Same here... glad it's not just me! Makes me feel like I should be at a rave dropping acid or something... it feels really awkward to hear Raine's voice over it.

My girlfriend was listening to the remix and she asked me, "Is it SUPPOSED to sound like that, or is something wrong with our speakers?" :D
I appreciate the guy who remixed it, and the entire idea of letting the fans remix the song, but that one didn't excite me very much.

That wasn't a fan remix. Sebastian Grainger is a guy from a Canadian group called DFA 1979

Yes I'm aware Bree, saw some of his tweets about it. But I'm under the impression that they're going to have a contest that is open to anyone? That's what I was referring to.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of that remix. It sounded really rough. Maybe because it was, but still, it gave my poor speaker system a heart attack.
