Lando wrote:The best and funniest part about the new PC commercial they made to counter attack the Mac vs. PC ads apple puts out, is that they actually edited the commercial on a mac! how ridiculous. I wonder who got fired over letting that little cat out of the box.

Can you tell though, I mean, is there any proof? Cos anybody could make up a similar rumour couldn't they? Still pretty funny though if it's true.

Yeah there's proof, I read it in a couple of articles actually. I don't have them saved on my computer, but I could probably find them again.

If you read it on the Internet, it has to be true.

  Some of that was truly golden. The part about the single mouse button I could seriously relate to. That drives me absolutely crazy.

I think that drives everyone crazy, I have no idea how they ever thought that was a good idea. The moment I started using a mac, I went and bought a two button mouse and gave the one button mouse the finger. He cried and was never used again.

I've contemplated buying a Mac for video editing only, once Blu-Ray/Hi-def technology becomes a little more affordable.

Do people still use mice? (mouses) I do have a mighty mouse in my laptop case but rarely use it (it has the equivalent to 5 buttons with no buttons). Granted if i were doing a lot of editing, as i had in the past, I would probably want to use it again. I do like the little ball on the mighty mouse but the very short cord doesnt really work with the laptops as it only just lets the mouse get to the right side of the computer (the inputs being on the left-hand-side).

I can't work without a mouse, the touchpad on my laptop slows me down too much. Also, what are destop users supposed to use instead of a mouse? I've never heard that they make touchpads for desktops, although they could and I could just be out of the loop.

 Yeah, some of us still use desktops! I ain't controlling everything with my keyboard, that's for sure! Been there, done that!

They could and they do.
When I worked for Honeywell we had test stands that would hook up to equipment and the PC would monitor and record the test results.

Being only as wide as the monitor and keybaord left little room to navigate with the mouse.

Purchased a few touchpads, mounted them to the bottom corner of the monitor area and voila. No more hassling with trying to use a mouse in the confines of a 3" space.

Although they were doing nothing more than pointing to a program to open. Not alot of clicking and scrolling otherwise.

Thanks to my enginuity worker productivity rose 36% in the 4th quarter.

you really need to get firefox, brian. it has a fancy built in spell checker.

then i would not have to do the following:

a lot is two words, and your enginuity is not that ingenious. however, had you shown ingenuity...
