Yeah, I saw an article about that. However, the guy who did it goes around to random pages of wrestlers and writes ignorant, racist shit. So it was likely just a coincidence that one of his random wiki changes happened to be true.

(his others include such gems as going to a black wrestler's page and splashing the N word all over the page, and going to a female wrestler's page and talking rather graphically about what her male fans might want to do to her)

Dr. Phil is awesome. For one reason. Check out his prank calls on the internet. They're similar to those Arnold Schwarzennegger prank calls that are so famous.

I heard something about Benoit supposedly killing his son with a chokehold; do you seriously think he'd put his son in the "Canadian Crippler"?

That's messed up....

There's an article on imdb about this. Says he had 10 times the normal amount of testosterone in his body.

I heard about that last night. I still don't know what to think.

What is there to think about? High testosterone levels or not, that is no excuse to kill his family.

The sad fact other than a wife and son dying is that his career in the ring will be forgotten. There'll be no one honouring him. There'll be no induction into the wrestling hall of fame. No young wrestlers will idolize him. And no one will remember him for his accomplishments in the ring. His name is essentially going to be wiped from all of wrestling's memories. All people will know is that he is a murderer. Hell, I respected/admired/idolized the man myself, but now the only thing that comes to my mind is absolute disgust whenever I hear his name.

i feel the same way mostly doc although im curious as to the psychological effects of the drug combination he used

A friend of mine was murdered by her husband when he was high on cocaine one night. He stabbed her to death and then stole all her jewelry and money and her car, and went to buy more drugs. I have yet to forgive him, and I would never excuse his actions with the pathetic statement "well he was on drugs so he didn't know what he was doing."

HOWEVER

Chris Benoit was on a combination of drugs, and none of them were illegal. There is a possibility that something in that combination would have done something to his brain to make him do that. I'm not excusing his actions any more than I would excuse my friend's husband for what he did. But I think there are a lot of unanswered questions and it's confusing and heartbreaking to think that someone like Chris Benoit would do something like that to his family without there being something wrong in his brain, especially knowing what he was on.

I think the mix of anti-depressants and steroids did have a psychological effect on Benoit. Maybe its just me; I'm obviously not a professional. Just my opinion.

It is sad, and Johnny's right; nobody is going to honor or appreciate Benoit for his history of wrestling. He'll be known for his fatal ending.

Another factor that was mentioned very early but seems to have fallen under the radar is Benoit took unprotected chairshots to the back of the head, which a lot of wrestlers don't do (they put their hands up and take the shot to the front so they can protect themselves).

I think it was Chris Nowinski, who can't wrestle anymore due to concussions, who said that they should check Benoit's brain for brain damage caused by concussions/chairshots.

I firmly believe there is no way Benoit would have done this if he was healthy. Something was very, very wrong.

Who would've thought that steroids had something to do with it!

my humble opinion...maybe a combination of the chair shots causing some brain damage and the mix of drugs caused some kind of rage attack which caused him to kill his wife and child...then i think he probably came down from that attack and realized what he had done...and rather than face the consequences, seeing as how his life would be over anyway...he placed a bible by each of their bodies and took his own life, probably cause he couldnt live with himself knowing what he had done
