I can't wait until this election is over.
I just watched a Conservative commercial attacking Paul Martin for approving anti-conservative attack-ads.
WTF
This is the kind of shit they'd do on South Park as an absurd parody!

it's funny that they say it's an 'attack ad' when it's against the Conservatives using quotes & facts, but if it's a Conservative ad bashing someone else in the exact same manner... that's an 'accountability ad'.
Uh... right.

"quotes and facts" can be bended in all sorts of ways. Secondly, even various media groups have cited distaste about the Liberal ads. I don't remember where I read them but I'll try to find some links. Lastly, I do see the irony in the current conservative ads.

I honestly dislike all attack ads. You should be SELLING your party, not trashing another. I dissaprove of all of them.

I was only commenting on the double standards... in general I don't like any of the parties's ads either, and I agree that I'd rather see ads selling a party than putting other parties down. I find it frustrating when it comes to this.

The newest liberal ad made me laugh:
Scene opens with Paul Martin leaning/sitting on a desk (again), hands folded, hopeless look on his face, dramatic, uplifting music playing.
Martin: Hello.
*long pause*
Oh man, that cracked me up. Just me, eh?

Gays rush to altar, fearing marriage law at risk
CTV.ca News Staff
Gay couples across Canada are rushing to the altar, worried that a possible Conservative government will reverse the legalization of same sex marriages.
Daniel Lockwood and Jason Cass were one couple who got married Wednesday in Toronto.
"We decided Saturday night (to get married) Wednesday afternoon. The election is Monday. We wanted to do it before Monday," Cass said.

If the conservatives did get into power and reversed the same-sex marriage law, would the current same-sex marriage be recognized or revoked?
