its true they do, i have also liked them since the begining
i've been a Grohl fan since his Pocketwatch album

Yeah they're pretty lame. A few of their new songs sound like U2 rip-offs too.

well fine. to be fair i used to like some of their songs (what girl doesn't?) but a lot of their stuff is overplayed and puts me to sleep.

They used to be better. They're still not bad or sell-outs or anything, i just find the new stuff pretty homogenous and bland. Its not poorly written or anything, just not very exciting

I wouldn't have ever described Coldplay as "exciting"... but music doesn't have to be exciting to be good.
Sometimes it's just nice to relax to music.
