Yes.

It is kind of like how skate boarders dress in baggy pants and ragged t-shirts to be "different" when in reality, they all look the same. Or purple hair and black fingernails to supposedly avoid being "like everyone else". But the truth is they end up benefiting a marketing ploy and become the very thing they pretend they are not.
