I'd stay by the airport, just because the Pier is kind of in the middle of nowhere. Buffalo's lakefront is kinda...weird to say the least. The airport isn't in Buffalo, but it's a better place to stay.

Buffalo's lakefront is ghetto.

There is a very good hotel by the Airport and the Walden Galleria Mall. I believe it's a Howard Johnson but it's been a while since I've been there.

thanks. i am not sure if my friend is picking me up or not. I also don't know if I am going to fly or take the bus. Flying is usually cheaper( jetblue) and it takes about an hour or less. Bus is 7-8 hours ..I have to weigh it out.. It takes me about 2-1/2 hours to get to teh airport out here..I take public transportation..

If you need a hotel do Priceline. I always use them.. I just a room in Atlanta( Sheraton) for $45 a night( $55 after txes)

I am suppose to stay with my friend, but you know how things can go.. so I have to wait and see how things go..
