Would I be ruining the moment by saying that my family is normal? Fairly normal anyhow, there are some messed up things, but as far as I know we all love eachother.

Val, that is usually what happens when someone gets married. You make new friends. Ahhh, I'm sad

Okay, there are definately normal familys. I have seen them. I am very aware of their existance. In fact, by saying there are no normal families is completly false. Its just a lie that I hate hearing.

I have a seriously fucked up family. Thats the bottom line.

What makes it incredibly un-fun is the fact that my best friend has one of the most normal families I know. Her Mom and Dad get along fantastically. She is one of the best students in our school. She has a cool younger sister that she gets along with. Her mom stays home and takes care of the house and her kids, and her Dad goes to work 9-5 each week. Her grandparents live across the street. They are not a rich family but manage to go to Montreal to visit her Aunt.

Don't fucking tell me that there is no normal familys because I see the goddamned defination of one practically everyday.

Its really hard to be friends with someone like that when she is living all you have ever wanted.

Well... I still talk a lot to people that I was friends with, and I have them come visit me and stuff... so it's not as though they don't exist... It's just, the majority of them are in Buffalo or scattered around doing the college thing that it's physically impossible for me to spend time with them.

Even normal families have their un-normal things about them, even if you can't see them. All you can do is try to provide the most normal life for your future family that you can.
