When it comes to computer parts like that, always best to buy it new from a store then you know it will work for longer and you get a warranty.

A NEW QUESTION
********************
I have a flat screen Compaq monitor and the colors get messed up sometimes. I think it's mainly the red. It still shows red, but if it's a bright red, it comes up really dark and the color overall looks very dull. I tried resetting the brightness and other such settings with no luck. It kind of comes and goes...for a few days it's fine, then for a few days it's not.

I've seen this happen to other monitors and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this and/or knows if it would be worth it to get it repaired or just get a new one.

Ask around at future shop or best buy or wherever you go to get your computer stuff fixed, and ask them how much it would be to get it fixed and if that would fix the problem fully. If it's more expensive or the same price as getting a new monitor just get a new one.

So I moved into my apartment and I'm using my wireless. Well, everytime I like log off or shut down the computer, the internet stops working. All I have to do is click on "view available networks" and after a few seconds the gateway will appear. Is there anything I can do to make it remember this so I don't have to do it everytime, it's pretty irritating.

Is there anyway to get around the copyright protection on DVD's? I would like to burn some DVD's but they are copyrighted :(

 I'm late here... and you already got your answer on the hub. I don't really know off-hand, anyway, cos I don't think I've ever ripped a copy-protected DVD.

No, winamp doesn't play Real media.

That's why everyone hates Real media. Low quality files that only work with one shitty player.

Someone should abolish rm.

Does anyone know why my screensaver wouldn't come on when it's set to come on after 5 minutes?
