OKay so i am a Merchandise and Customer Assist.... I, apparently, will soon be carrying two phones on my belt or whatever, be in charge of checking fitting rooms and putting stuff back, putting returned items back away, refolding EVERYTHING like all of the mens jeans, and answering customers questions. yay me. See the phones.. i dont get yet. The manager that was training me in was like, one is for the 1st floor, the other is for the 2nd floor. and im thinking, ok sure. Then she said they are also for customers that call the store, from their homes. and im like....???

You're doing like 6 people's jobs.

that's like me at zellers. i had a phone on my belt. plus a headset to connect me to the cashiers. plus i was in charge of checking fitting rooms, folding clothes, keeping clothes off the floor, keeping the vacuum displays neat, dusting the furniture displays, phoning other stores for customers, making sure sale prices were right, changing the sale signs and posting the flyers, making sure we had what was in the flyer and knowing what we didnt, knowing the location of everything, and covering electronics and jewellery for their breaks. also, i plannogramed merchandise, did price checks...

my job title was customer service associate. i felt like i was doing a lot of stuff.

we should have an lj community for the cm.
