You could try going to microsoft.com and upgrading or reinstalling IE.

Turns out I was missing a bunch of Windows files.

I had to reinstall ("repair") Windows.

And, since the "repair" doesn't even come close to protecting everything ... I've spent the last couple of days trying to get everything working again.

Fun!

Eww. :uhh: Formatting then doing a clean install might've been a better option, to tell you the truth. You might still have issues. *runs*

how exactly would you go about uninstalling a program if the program does not have an uninstall option or the program is not listed in the add/remove programs list?

edit: nevermind. i think i figured it out.

Does it specifically say ONLY for 98? Cause in my experience most everything will work on XP.

but nobody knows for sure? it 'should' work doesn't reassure me when it's $50 :uh:

Yes, it will work. That just means it was made when 98 was the newest Windows, meaning that it will work with "Windows 98 and up".

Also, if for some reason it doesn't work with XP, you can right click on the icon > properties > compatability, and run it in compatability mode for any older windows (although, it should still work as just normal Windows XP).

Does anyone know how I can get IE back to being my default browser? I accidentally made Mozilla it, and now I can't fix it.
