What is this movie actually about? I haven't been able to figure out anything from the previews... I mean, it's the 60's, there's war and Beatles music. But does it have some sort of plot too?

yes. jude is from liverpool and goes to america to find his father. he ends up at yale where his father's a janitor (i think, some fancy school like that anyways) and makes a friend with a rebelious rich kid, who drops out of school and they move to new york. the friend's younger sister comes out to live with them after her boyfriend is killed in vietnam, and then her brother's drafted, she becomes a protester who works for a paper, jude works on his art...all sorts of things go down.

i was actually surprised at the amount of plot  but it still is a lot of drugs and beatles music going down. oh, and bono shows up as an lsd guru.

Not as bad as the previews made it out to be but if your in for a prison comedy flick Arrested Development Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are your best bet ;)

Transformers wasn't bad but it was like. Herbie the Love Bug meets Short Circuit meets The Matrix meets a the longest commercial for GM you've ever watched.

And I still don't totally dig Megan Fox.

I did like the throwback line for the original cartoons:
"You've failed me again Starscreen!!"
