I've found that I can play Halo with full settings smoothly as long as there's not too many enemies and/or allies fighting at once. That's just too much AI to load at once. However, I can get through those big fights on lower settings. It's still choppy, but it works.

I got Fallout and Fallout 2 together for like 20 bucks at Future Shop.
They're amazing games. If all else fails, you can get working copies of both off Kazaa

And on an unrelated note, what the HELL is going on in your avatar?

Reese Witherspoon, she was flashing the driver of a mail-delivery truck in the movie "Overnight Delivery" with Paul Rudd. It's basically an earlier version of "Road Trip", seriously, same storyline/plot.

I think the typo is excusable. We're talking HL2 here.

It's out there somewhere. You can probably get it from a BitTorrent source or IRC. Two of my friends have a copy. Of course it's beta, so it's full of errors and missing textures and models.
I'm not evening going to bother since I don't have PC that can run it properly.
And I don't want to participate in this, since Valve just got fucked with somebody stealing their source and leaking it, so they practically have to rewrite it again.
Poor Valve... I really feel for them.
