Well, I could come to Kingston, pick you up, fly around for a bit, put you back down, and resume my flight plan back to Kingston. Lemme look at my map and figure out how long the flight to Kingston would be

Same thing. If the flight will take say 45 minutes there and another 45 minutes back, and I'm there for 45 minutes, then I have to total that up and see if i can PAY for it. I pay for the whole time the engine of the plane is running. So that includes taxiing and stuff, but I could shut the plane down and be in Kingston for a while and not get charged for that time. Capice?

There's a thing called a Hobbs meter that's like a little clock and runs when the engine is on. So say I take the plane when it reads 67.9 and I bring it back and it read 70.0, then I pay for 2.1 hours

I can only estimate, anyway, since my speed would depend on the weather (temperature, pressure, wind).

But it looks like it would be about an hour and a half one way, which is hella too much. Plus I would have to fly through Toronto airspace which SUCKS ASS. So the solution here is... getting someone to convince me to drive there.

Hey, it could happen. Tell her you're going flying!! Or, drive to Burlington, and we'll drive you to Kitchener.

Let's put it this way, it would be about half the distance for me to fly to get BETHANY as it would to go to Kingston

This is true...

I just realized that I've never brought this up before...

I play my guitar a little differently than most people. When I sit and play, I play in the "classical" possition. As a righty, I'm "supposed" to rest the body of the guitar on my right leg. However, I rest the concave curve of the guitar on my left leg, and use my right leg to adjust the pivot of the guitar. This brings the neck of the guitar up and closer to my body, and allows me to not be as bent over when playing.

I've always played this way, and I used to feel weird about doing it because everyone else does it the other way. But then when I went to see my second (and last) guitar teacher for the first time, I sat down with the guitar and he said "Wow. I'm glad to see you play in the classical position. Not many people do that. It brings the guitar up closer to your body, eh?"

Yeah. Took some with one guy for a couple of years. Learned nothing but theory and actually wanted to quit playing all together, so I switched teachers and learned some awesome songs.

Then I decided that I'd learned enough to learn songs on my own, so I stopped taking lessons all together.

Theory is good for you, though. I wish I knew more of that kind of stuff.

Even now I can't do key signatures or chords if my life depended on it.

How long did you take lessons for?

I tried playing like that, I really liked it but it REALLY hurts my left wrist to bend it back that far

I'm glad I learned some theory first, but I was bored out of my mind. All I knew how to play was scales for well over a year. If fucking sucked.

Yeah dude. That would suck nuts. Theres nothing like playing scales for a whole year.!! Oh Boy!! What Fun!!
